Author - N.T Lopez
N.T. López drew inspiration for this story from watching the beautiful pear and locust trees in her yard as she worked from her sunroom during the COVID-19 shutdown. She pivoted from her writing skills in corporate communications to the literary creation of a story that would delight her granddaughters. As a result, The Storm is Coming was born.
N.T. López, a second-generation Puerto Rican, was born and raised in Illinois along with seven other siblings. She has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Psychology. In addition to enjoying the creation of recipes for plant-based whole foods, she is a woman of faith and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Lake Villa, Lindenhurst, Round Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of the City of Waukegan Chamber of Commerce. As well as a member of the Grayslake Arts Alliance Writers’ Group.

Minerva, affectionately known as Memo, is another one of my four sisters. While I am proud of all my sisters and brothers, Memo is also a trailblazer in her own right. She led the way to bilingual elementary teaching in Waukegan, IL for 24 years. Her next stop was an Assistant Principal until landing her final role as the Principal of the Oakdale Elementary School in Waukegan. Her expertise in child education has not only benefited the students, it served me well as she provided great feedback and insight of my children’s three-book series. I can’t thank her enough.
Memo enjoys spending time with her two beautiful daughters and her handsome grandsons. She likes to travel and loves to spend most of her time in Puerto Rico where she can soak in the sunshine while reading a good book.
My heart is full.

Education UPR-Río Piedras, University of Illinois, MA, ABD, Literature in English, Early Modern Literature.
Luz, affectionately known as Lulu, happens to be my sister, and while I am proud of all my siblings, Lulu, being the oldest, has paved the way for us to focus on hard work, our dreams, and higher education. I am deeply grateful for her accomplishments, and I am thrilled that she has taken part in my small project of bringing my book characters, Perry and Biggie, to life. Her contributions have been invaluable. As a professor at the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao, PR, she taught English literature. For several years she organized the English Department’s Annual Shakespeare Festival. I am forever indebted to her knowledge and expertise.
Lulu lives on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico with her husband. Among other things, she dedicates much of her time to her beautiful, gifted and special needs grand-niece and her grand-nephew.
